BIOGRAPHY
José Manuel Poncelis, Mexican actor debuted on the big screen in 1991 with the feature film, Cabeza de Vaca . This opened the doors for him to participate in projects such as Bajo California: The Time Limit (1998), Herod’s Law (1999), De la calle ( 2001) and Cero y van 4 (2004).

In 2006 he participated in Morirse en Domingo playing Pancho, and in 2012 in Diente por tooth playing the role of Rutilio. Years later he participated in the short film Esta Noche Vendré por Tu Corazón (2013), a film directed by Rudgar Fernando Palomino Mendoza.

Among his latest projects we find Ik Dietrick Fon, the hidden sound of things (2015), by director S ebastián Delón, a film in which he stars as a goalkeeper. His most notable role was in the feature film directed by Ernesto Cordero, Sueño en otro idioma (2017), where he plays the character of Isauro. His performance earned him the Mayahuel award for Best Actor at the Guadalajara International Film Festival. Among the awards that the film won were the Guerreros de la Prensa festival, for best Mexican fiction feature film; the Sundance institute/Mahindra global filmmaking recognition at the Sundance Festival, and 6 awards at the 60th edition of the Ariel Awards.
